Dr Joanne Fava speaks at the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce Women Empowering Women Summit.
The Chamber held the 2026 summit on Friday, October 2, at Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club, 499 Derbyshire Drive, Venice. Doors opened at 7:45 a.m. The day ran through 3:00 p.m. — a sold-out gathering of women from the community for inspiration, learning, and connection.
This year’s theme is I’m Possible. The Chamber puts it this way: “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, ‘I’m Possible!’” Speakers shared personal stories so women could see their own potential, get past obstacles, and move toward what they want personally and professionally.
The summit also honors one local businesswoman with the Empowering Woman of the Year Award for leadership, impact, and lifting other people up.
