Stay on the Courts

Pickleball volume in Wellen Park and Venice is unlike anything this corridor saw a decade ago. The dink is small. The load on the elbow, rotator cuff, and calves is not.

We treat the chain that actually plays the point — shoulder rotation, grip, and the first step to the ball — so you are not icing after every session.

Sarasota County has about 94 lined public courts, free and first-come. The ones that fill are Pompano Trailhead, Foxworthy in Venice, Nokomis, Englewood, Highland Ridge in North Port, Longwood, and Potter Park. Say where you play and how many days a week. The plan has to survive the next open play.

What we treat on the court

Pickleball elbow

Lateral elbow pain after a third or fourth day is usually a shoulder and grip problem wearing an elbow name. We calm the tendon and change the load.

Shoulder and the overhead

The smash and the high backhand ask the cuff to decelerate a short whip. Night pain is the warning, not a reason to skip the next game.

The first step

Calves and plantar fascia take the split step, not the dink. We treat the foot and the hip that is late getting you there.

Knee at the kitchen

Lunges and a stiff hip make the kneecap the complaint. We treat the chain, not a brace-and-hope plan.

Wrist and grip

A tight paddle grip loads the wrist and the elbow. We screen the neck so you are not treating a messenger.

Low back on the reach

Bending for a dink with a hip that will not hinge is a lumbar problem. Care has to let you play this week.

Ankle on a slide

A roll at the kitchen line is a season problem if it is still swollen at week three. Same return-to-play criteria we use with other court sports.

Extra days

Open play every morning is a gift and a trap. We plan load around the week you actually play, not a two-day tennis calendar.

We are not the open-play organizer. We are the clinic players use when the elbow, shoulder, or foot starts writing the lineup. Mention where you play on the first visit.
