Wellen Park and Venice players often book for “tennis elbow” after adding a third or fourth pickleball day. The tendon on the outside of the elbow is irritated. That part is real.
What is not real is the idea that the elbow failed in isolation. A paddle sport lives on shoulder rotation, scapular control, and a hip that lets you get to the ball without lunging with a locked trunk. When those pieces get stiff — heat, extra games, no off-day — the forearm extensors do extra work on every dink and drive.
In the clinic we still calm the tendon. Graston, pin-and-stretch, and load management matter. We also restore the shoulder and hip so the elbow is not the only tissue doing the sport.
If you play in Wellen Park, Venice, or North Port and the elbow is talking after sessions, do not wait for it to become a season-long brace. Early care is shorter care.
